Description
Moti Baag Raibaasa Homestay, Pauri Garhwal
Perched at around 6,000 feet in the peaceful hills of Pauri Garhwal, Moti Baag Raibaasa Homestay offers a refreshing escape surrounded by spectacular Himalayan landscapes, fresh mountain air, and the quiet beauty of village life. Managed by Tribhuvan Uniyal, this soulful retreat is perfect for travelers looking to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience authentic Uttarakhandi hospitality.
One of the biggest highlights is the panoramic view of snow-covered Himalayan peaks. Wake up to crisp mountain air, peaceful surroundings, and breathtaking landscapes that make every morning feel special. The property is also surrounded by the natural and cultural charm of Sangora village, where visitors can experience a slower and more traditional way of life.
Farm-to-Plate Organic Food
Food is an important part of the Moti Baag experience. The homestay follows a genuine farm-to-plate approach, serving seasonal vegetables, leafy greens, and other local produce grown organically on the farm. Guests can enjoy traditional Uttarakhandi dishes prepared with organic millets and fresh ingredients.
Fresh A2 cow milk from the property's cows is also available, while some meals are prepared using a traditional wood-fired stove, adding an authentic mountain touch to the dining experience. Non-vegetarian food and eggs can be arranged on special request.
Nature, Culture & Peace
The village is home to important local attractions including Raj Rajeshwari Mata Temple and Nagraja Shesh Shaiya Vishnu Temple. Raibaasa also has a special connection with Padma Shri awardee Vidya Dutt Uniyal, who played an important role in creating Raibaasa and promoting the cultural heritage of the region.
The homestay is particularly suited to families, solo travelers, nature lovers, and guests interested in peaceful trekking, organic farming, village culture, and Himalayan living.
A Responsible & Eco-Friendly Stay
Moti Baag Raibaasa follows responsible tourism practices to protect its peaceful environment. Loud music and noise pollution are not permitted, single-use plastic is avoided, and guests are encouraged to take their plastic and glass waste back with them. Meals and tea are served in the dining hall.
Because the property is surrounded by natural habitat with regular sightings of leopards and other wild animals, guests are not permitted to venture outside the farmhouse premises after last light until dawn.
For those seeking a quiet Himalayan retreat with organic food, mountain views, village culture, and responsible hospitality, Moti Baag Raibaasa Homestay offers an authentic experience close to nature and far from the noise of everyday life.
